Jill Brown Kettler, Executive Editor
Jill oversees AIS Health’s publications and manages the health editorial staff. She joined AIS Health in 1999, and brings unique skills and energy to the company, along with an intelligent perspective on the forces reshaping the health care industry. She holds a graduate degree in health finance and management from Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health, and was formerly a consultant with Arthur Andersen, where she worked with managed care plans, hospitals and medical groups on financial issues impacting their operations.
Lauren Flynn Kelly, Managing Editor, Radar on Medicare Advantage
Lauren has been covering health business issues, including drug benefits and specialty pharmacy, for more than a decade. She served as editor of Drug Benefit News (the predecessor to Radar on Drug Benefits) from 2004 to 2005 and again from 2011 to 2016, and now manages Radar on Medicare Advantage. Lauren graduated from Vassar College with a B.A. in English.
Angela Maas, Managing Editor, Radar on Specialty Pharmacy
Angela has an extensive background of editing, reporting and writing for trade and consumer publications. She has written Radar on Specialty Pharmacy (formerly called Specialty Pharmacy News) since she joined AIS Health in 2005 and has broad knowledge of the various issues at play within the space. Before joining AIS Health, she was managing editor at Employee Benefit News and Employee Benefit News Canada and managing editor at HemAware (a hemophilia publication), Lupus Living and Momentum (a multiple sclerosis publication). She has a B.A. in English and an M.A. in British literature from Arizona State University.
Judy Packer Tursman, Senior Reporter, Health Plan Weekly and Radar on Drug Benefits
Judy is a veteran journalist who helped to launch several newsletters for AIS Health as a freelancer. She began her career after law school as an intern with columnist Jack Anderson. She was a freelance health columnist for The Washington Post, and a staff Washington correspondent for Modern Healthcare, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and The (Toledo, Ohio) Blade. She wrote for American City Business Journals in San Jose, Calif., and Charlotte, N.C. She has written for many publications, including Medical Economics and Managed Healthcare Executive, and for Industry Dive websites.
Leslie Small, Senior Reporter, Health Plan Weekly and Radar on Drug Benefits
Leslie has been reporting and editing in various journalism roles for nearly a decade. Most recently, she was the senior editor of FierceHealthPayer, an e-newsletter covering the health insurance industry. A graduate of Penn State University, she previously served in editing roles at newspapers in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Colorado.
Jinghong Chen, Reporter, AIS Health
Jinghong produces infographics and data stories on health insurance and specialty pharmacy for AIS Health. She graduated from Missouri School of Journalism with a focus on data journalism and international reporting. Before joining AIS in 2018, she worked at WBEZ, Al Jazeera English and The New York Times Chinese.
