AIS Report Ranks 34 Blues Plan CEOs’ Compensation — Former BCBSMA CEO Highest-Paid in 2010
Atlantic Information Services, Inc. (AIS) - November 22, 2011 - Washington, DC

Although the overall economy struggled in 2010 and the year marked the passing of the health reform law, most Blues plan CEOs saw their take-home pay rise, though for the most part, only modestly, according to the latest issue of The AIS Report on Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans*.

The editors of The AIS Report collected 2010 compensation data for CEOs of Blues plans in 44 states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C. and compiled the results in the November issue.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA) CEO Cleve Killingsworth topped the list of the chief executives in terms of total annual compensation among the 34 Blue Cross and Blue Shield plan operators for which The AIS Report was able to obtain compensation data.

Among other Blues plan executives’ compensation packages that The AIS Report on Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans covers in the November issue are: WellPoint, Inc., Triple-S Management Corp., Health Care Service Corp., Highmark, Inc., Wellmark, Inc. and The Regence Group.
