Tufts Health Plan tapped several executives to play key roles at RI Together, a new plan designed for the Rhode Island managed Medicaid market. The new Medicaid leadership team includes: Helene Forte, who joins from Aetna Inc. to serve as vice president of emerging markets; Tijak Verma, M.D., a former regional medical director at UnitedHealthcare who is now RI Together’s senior medical director; Deanna Talley, former vice president of case management for Molina Healthcare of New Mexico who was hired as director of integrated clinical management; longtime Tufts executive Jason Brown, director of provider contracting and relations; and Joy Russell, who joins from Dell Services to serve as director of Rhode Island Medicaid operations....Regence BlueShield of Idaho hired Mitch Toryanski as its new government affairs director, following the resignation of Shad Priest. Toryanski has more than two decades of experience in government service at both the state and federal levels, including five years as deputy attorney general for the state….HealthSparq named Matt Parker vice president of product.
