Four weeks after the open-enrollment season kicked off Nov. 1, says more than 2.1 million people — including more than 500,000 new customers — had selected health plans through the federal exchange platform. While said it ended November with 97,000 more signups than at the same point last year, this year’s figures include 20,000 sign-ups from Kentucky, which last year operated its own state-based exchange (SBE).... The Minnesota Blues plan also named Dan Trajano, M.D., senior medical director for the STARS and Risk Adjustment Center of Excellence. Trajano most recently served as vice president and executive medical director of population health at HealthEast Care System....Sovereign Health named Ali S. Zadeh, M.D., executive director of acute care. Zadeh previously was the CEO at Kindred Hospital Cleveland Gateway....Arthrosurface appointed Joe Darling executive chairman. He most recently was chief operating officer at Interventional Spine, Inc.
