Quote of the Day

“The likelihood of significant drug pricing reforms decreases [under the Trump Administration], but is not eliminated, based on the election outcome. Public concern about drug prices is strong, so there will still be pressure to explore policy changes that can address concerns over drug prices. Defeat of the California drug pricing ballot initiative is a major victory for the [pharmaceutical] industry and may discourage similar efforts in other states. However, state emphasis on increasing transparency on drug prices could persist in 2017.”

— Caroline Pearson, senior vice president, policy and strategy, Avalere Health, told AIS’s Drug Benefit News.
